California 92 and US 101 in San Mateo

A variety of styles are used for exit "tabs" on the newer-style reflective signs along California freeways. For the sign marking the US 101 exit to San Jose, the Exit designation and the exit number are on separate lines. That's relatively uncommon. The US 101 exit sign for San Francisco shows one of the more common layouts, with the "tab" taking up one line in the corner of the sign.
