One Exit Number Style

This exit sign on Interstate 80 near Truckee shows one of the styles used for exit numbers in California. California was one of the last states to use exit numbers regularly on freeways. For the conversion to exit numbers, Caltrans tends to favor signs that can be fabricated as a single unit.
