It's Not the End of the Road, Still....

It's not the end of the road on northbound US 101 in Marin County - but it is the end of the freeway that connects Marin County with the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco. Between Novato, in Marin County, and Petaluma, in Sonoma County, the route continues as a divided highway, but with cross traffic rather than interchanges. In addition, each carriageway goes from three lanes to two, making this section a frequent traffic bottleneck.
