Just a few miles north of the Mexican border, California 905 is a route through far southern San Diego County. Its eastern end is at the Mexican border at Otay Mesa; its western end is here at Interstate 5. For the time being, California 905 is the highest-numbered state route (the highest-numbered route in California is Interstate 980 in Oakland).
