Two Freeways on One Sign

Interstate 980 and California 24 are essentially the same freeway in Oakland, with the switchover in designations occurring at Interstate 580. Thus, there's one sign on the assembly attempting to show both California 24 (the "Berkeley exit") and Interstate 980 (for downtown Oakland). California 24 actually does not enter Berkeley, though it does come close in the area just west of the Caldecott Tunnel.
