Faded, But Unusual

Note the California legend on a destination sign that normally wouldn't have it, at Interstate 880 in Hayward

This isn't the best photo, first because it's a windshield shot and then because the sign was in only fair condition, but it's still worthwhile. The California shield for Highway 92 includes the California legend on the shield. That's usually reserved for standalone markers, but it appeared here on the destination sign in the collector/distributor lanes for Interstate 880 northbound in Hayward. This photo was taken in August 2007.
