Looking west from the banks of the Missouri River, this profile view of the new and old Hermann bridges shows a large truck approaching Hermann on Missouri 19. At this angle, it looked like the roadway is coming out of the old bridge, but in reality, the connection between Hermann and the old bridge had already been severed when this photo was taken in October 2007. The new bridge was opened to traffic in July 2007 and dedicated October 12.
