River Boundary

South end of the Lexington Bridge (2003)

Here's a closer view of the informational signs at the south end of the bridge, right at the intersection of Missouri 13 and 224 in Lexington. The Missouri River sign was an older-style black-on-white sign, while the county boundary sign was a modern white-on-green sign.

Interestingly enough, the county boundary was marked at each end of the bridge, rather than at some point above the waterway. Perhaps the bridge was too narrow to accomodate such a placement of the boundary signs.
