The route log for US 50 from the 1928 Missouri official road map shows major points along the route between Kansas City and St. Louis. For some reason, the mileage count stops at the St. Louis city line instead of proceeding another three or four miles within the city itself. US 50 was also concurrent with US 66 from Union eastward.
