The route log for US 66 from the 1928 Missouri official road map shows major points along the route between the Kansas state line that was then six miles west of Joplin to St. Louis. US 66 was concurrent with US 50 from Union to St. Louis. As with US 50, the route log ends at the Maplewood-St. Louis city line.
