On old US 71 at Archie, this sign assembly appears to be a leftover from the days when this was the main route through western Missouri. It's an older-style city-limits sign, with black text on a white background. Even so, the population figure had been kept up to date. It matches the population shown in the 2001-2002 official Missouri map. The 2004-2005 map shows Archie with a population of 890, for an increase of 11 per cent!
