Even though you see freeway ramps and bridges in the background of this photo, taken in September 2008, it isn't a freeway.
Northbound traffic approaching the northern end of Missouri 759 in St. Joseph can go onto the Interstate 229 freeway, leading to the downtown area. To go to Kansas, you make a left turn at a traffic light. The Missouri 759 route designation ends not far from this point, but the road continues as Fourth Street.
