On some Missouri highways, the end of the highway doesn't mean the end of the road. That's the case on Missouri 128, a short route into Crowder State Park in Grundy County. There's no accompanying sign assembly indicating the end of Route 128, just this small sign. Instead of saying "State Maintenance Ends", this sign, photographed in September 2012, said "MoDOT Maintenance Ends." Perhaps this was because the rest of the road in the park is maintained by the state parks department.
The sign is paired with a companion sign on the other side of the road.
