The Grundy County Courthouse in Trenton

Grundy County Courthouse in Trenton, Mo.

The most recognizable landmark in the north-central Missouri city of Trenton is the Grundy County courthouse. Built from 1903 to 1905, the stone exterior is especially notable. It also matches the county jail, just across Eighth Street from the courthouse.

This photo was taken on Labor Day 2005. Presumably, the flags were on the courthouse lawn to commemorate the holiday. This picture was taken from the other side of Main Street (Missouri 6) in downtown Trenton.
