Crossing Over to Glasgow

1920s highway bridge on Missouri 240 still in use (2007)

One of the bridges constructed as part of the 1920s program to build bridges across the Missouri River was still in use between Glasgow (in Howard County) and Saline County in 2007. The plaque on the end of the truss structure lists the public officials in office at the time of dedication, and says the bridge's completion date was 1925.
