What's notable in this March 2012 photo is what isn't here. There's no Missouri 110 marker, even though Interstate 35 is part of the Chicago-Kansas City category in this area. The sign assembly shown is for traffic northbound on Lightburne Street at the US 69 intersection in Liberty. In much of Missouri, US 69 and I-35 don't run concurrently. Also notable is the strange state outline for the Missouri 33 marker. I've called that the "Liberty-style" outline, because that's where I first encountered it on Missouri 152.
