Route 66 was still around in 1975 when Michael Summa took this photo along Interstate 270 northbound in the St. Louis County suburb of Sunset Hills. The former route of US 66 in the St. Louis area now runs mostly along Missouri 366, although there are several variations. Even in 1975, US 50 already was concurrent with Interstate 44, which itself had been completed through St. Louis just a few years before.
