Note the absence of the state name -- contrary to previous MoDOT practice -- on the Interstate 49 marker on this sign assembly where Route H ends at Pineville. Also note that there's no marker for southbound Interstate 49, indicating that a short section of the route between this point and the Arkansas state line still is not a controlled-access freeway. The southernmost five miles of Interstate 49 in Missouri had yet to be constructed when this photo was taken in December 2012.
