This picture shows Emanuel "Clever" Boulevard as it was listed on one of three exit list signs southbound along US 71 (Bruce R. Watkins Drive) in Kansas City. Former Mayor Emanuel Cleaver, after whom the boulevard is named, reportedly didn't mind the error. Ben Prusia took this photo on December 14, 2002.
The error was brought to the attention of many news outlets throughout Kansas City (including, Ben reports, all the local TV and radio stations). As a result, it was replaced within a week of being put up.
