I wish I knew the story of how this miniature Statue of Liberty ended up on the Audrain County courthouse lawn in Mexico. While Liberty Street is one of the main streets of Mexico, this statue is actually near the corner of Washington and Jackson streets, on the downtown square.
This isn't the only county seat in Missouri with a miniature Statue of Liberty. There's another one in Lexington.
