Approaching Hermann on the north side of the Christopher S. Bond bridge, completed in 2007, is a freeway-style mixed-case sign letting you know that you're indeed crossing the Missouri River. The bridge is named after the longtime senator and former governor. Work on the bridge was just being completed during the first week of October 2007, when this photo was taken. The pedestrian walkway was still closed that week, but opened in time for the dedication. The bridge was dedicated on October 12.
