Missouri 1 and US 69 form a major intersection in the Clay County portion of Kansas City. Missouri 1 is Antioch Road, which leads to the suburb of Gladstone, which is surrounded by Kansas City -- and which itself surrounds four other incorporated suburbs. US 69 is Vivion Road.
This photograph was taken in August 29, 1998, when there were still Texaco stations and the price of regular gasoline was less than a dollar per gallon.
