Even though it's not marked as an endpoint, this is the southern end of Missouri 179, at its interchange with US 54 in Jefferson City. Missouri 179 was extended in 2004 from US 50 on the west side of Jefferson City to US 54, on the south side of the capital city, forming a bypass route. The bypass continues eastward for a short distance on Route B until the supplemental highway joins up with its old route on the way to Wardsville.
