Sometimes, too much accuracy can conflict with a goal of clarity. Similar to the "Liberty style markers" on Missouri 152 in Liberty, another hyper-detailed marker was found in September 2008 for these Missouri 9 trailblazers on US 69 in Riverside. Even with only one digit, it's impossible to center the route number within this version of the state outline.
When you look at a comparison of the two usual marker styles, you can see that this is not the normal style at all.
