MoDOT work crew turning around an I-49 mile marker in Bates County

On the day of the official dedication of Interstate 49 on December 12, 2012, Matt Roberds drove to Joplin for the ceremony. On his way from the Kansas City area, he saw several MoDOT work crews adjusting 0.2-mile markers along the route. Those markers had been turned away from traffic until the day that the route designation became official. This crew was working in Bates County.
