In 1999, drivers on supplemental Route F approaching US 54 into Fulton could encounter an older-style Missouri city-limits sign with black lettering on a white background. The current standard calls for white letters on a green sign.
This sign's probably gone, because a new sign would be needed to show updated population figures from the 2000 U.S. Census. The "MCB" emblem in the upper left corner indicates participation in a state-sponsored municipal improvement contest called "Missouri Community Betterment".
