Late in 2007, the Springfield airport was renamed the "Springfield-Branson National Airport" -- formerly the "Springfield Branson Regional Airport". Even several miles south of the airport, signs such as this one on US 60, the James River Freeway, signs were added pointing the way to the airport.
As a bonus, David Backlin also saw spray-painted directions on the shoulder of the freeway telling crews where to erect the sign (right).
