This directional banner popped up in September 2003 in Greene County near US 60. Scott Maness describes the history of this particular sign assembly, "For some time the NN marker had apparently had the top fastener come loose and it had flipped 180 degrees (and 'NN' upside down is still 'NN'!). Anyway, when MoDOT fixed it, for some reason 'South' was placed on top of it."
