For a brief period of time after Missouri 13 was re-routed in November 2002, it was diverted onto Missouri 248 until a new Missouri 13 connector was completed. If you look carefully, you'll also notice that the US 160 sign uses a rather narrow font to fit three digits into a square sign blank.
