Compared to some other locations, the added Missouri 110 designation for US 36 between Cameron and Hannibal in 2012 didn't cause much additional work for this sign assembly in Macon County. While the "pointy" style marker for Missouri 129 is a lesser-used standard compared to that shown on the Missouri 110 marker, it was retained at this intersection west of New Cambria. Missouri 129 is also concurrent with US 36 and Missouri 110 between this intersection and the New Cambria interchange.
