US 69 goes its own way, independent of Interstate 35 in Kansas City, though for much of the way, it roughly parallels Interstates 35 and 29 on Vivion Road. This intersection, with North Oak Trafficway, also marks the northern endpoint of Missouri 283. When this photo was taken in September 2008, the intersection was being repaved.
