Interstate 435 forms a circumferential loop around Kansas City (both in Kansas and Missouri). At the corners of the loop, the directional banners may seem a little confusing. Missouri 291's northern endpoint is at the northeast corner of the I-435 loop, so you can either go south on I-435, or west, but not north or east!
