The Continental Divide crosses US 550 in New Mexico just south of the Jicarilla Apache reservation. Southbound on US 550 just before the divide, there's one example (photo taken in May 2004) of many warning signs along the route warning of a blocked view. In the far, far distance at the top of the hill, you can barely see the standard highway marker indicating the location of the Continental Divide.
