Left, But Not Right

I-25 at NM 1, Socorro

There are two things to note about the sign at the south end of Business Loop 25 in Socorro, New Mexico. The first is the unusual use of the Zía symbol on the state highway marker in a "big green sign". Usually, for such signs, a simple circle is used in New Mexico. The Zía normally is used just on standalone highway markers.

The second thing to note is that the sign is misleading. It's for an entrance onto Interstate 25, but NM 1 does not run concurrently with NM 1. If you want to go onto NM 1 at this point, you need to turn right onto another road, not left.
