Descending Southward Deciduously

As NM 518 descends from the Sangre de Cristo Mountains on its way from Taos to Las Vegas, the vegetation changes. There are many fewer pine trees at this intersection with NM 161 west of Golondrinas in southern Mora County than you would find farther north on the route.
