A distinctive type of sign in New Mexico is the informational NOTICE sign cautioning motorists about the road ahead. This sign, photographed in May 2008 on US 64 eastbound at US 84 in Tierra Amarilla, indicates that you're on your own if you have any problems at certain times of the day. It's not clear whether the road is actually blocked off, or if it's just another way of saying "you drive here at your own risk".
