Proton 100 Brochure - Headphone Description
The Proton 100 came with one set of headphones with blue foam covers. Additional headphones could be purchased for $30 (in 1982 dollars) each. They were lightweight over-the-ear headphones (no earbuds then!) very similar to those supplied with Sony Walkman units. They offered slightly better bass response than the Sony headphones. However, they were very fragile. The foam covers also tended to deteriorate quickly.
