
I inherited this one from my uncle, who died far too soon of a series of heart attacks at 68 in Kansas City. He had quite a few portable radios. I think he must have done a lot of shopping at Radio Shack, because most of those portables came from that chain.
It's an AM/FM radio that also picked up sound from analog TV channels 2 through 13. Well, as a consequence of the United States' conversion to all-digital television, so much for that.
It has an earphone jack, and runs on a 9-volt battery. AM and FM reception still work, though the switch that selects between the bands, on the back of the radio, is noisy and a little flaky.
The model number: 12-613A.
And that's all I know about it. I was surprised to see one of these come up for auction on eBay around the time I wrote this post in March 2011!!
