Clarinda, Iowa celebrates one of its more famous citizens on Business US 71 (16th Street) through the southwest Iowa city and its downtown area. According to David Backlin, Clarinda also has a Glenn Miller Museum downtown and a Glenn Miller VFW post on the east side of town.
The Business 71 sign is unusual. It appears to be an older-style sign. Moreover, the Business banner is white on green rather than the usual black on white.
