The Vista House, on the Historic Columbia River Highway in Oregon, lives up to its name. From the deck of the building, you can see the Columbia River for miles west and east of the structure. The building is 733 feet above the river. It was constructed from 1916 to 1918 as a "comfort station" for travelers along the highway.
