While it wasn't a clear day, there was still good visibility on the day this photo was taken from the observation deck of the Empire State Building in May 2010. This view shows the south end of Manhattan. The Statue of liberty can be seen on one of the islands just to the west (right) of Manhattan. In the distant background is the Verrazano Narrows bridge connecting Brooklyn and Staten Island.
