This very old marker, probably dating back at least 200 years, is on the side of US 9 in Red Hook, New York. In many communities in the Hudson Valley, US 9 also goes by the name of Albany Post Road, reflecting the route's historic status as the road connecting New York City and New York's state capital. In Red Hook, though, US 9 is called Broadway.
