New York state historic site signs in Rhinebeck at US 9 and NY 308

Befitting a state rich in history, there are numerous historic-site signs on New York state roads. North of Hyde Park and the Franklin D. Roosevelt home and presidential library is the village of Rhinebeck. These signs on NY 308 at US 9 in the center of Rhinebeck point the way to the FDR sites.

In this photo, taken in May 2010, you can also see the small green New York state location markers that are on all state roads.

Also note that the Historic Site legend appears to use the rarely used FWHA Series F font, also used in New York state for numerals in state highway markers on freeway-class "big green signs".
