The Texas secondary-route markers use the Texas outline only on reassurance markers, with a plain square or rectangle used for "Big Green Signs". David Backlin found an exception (above) on US 59 near Carthage. Compare it to the marker for another route intersecting US 59 (below) south of Jefferson. (F.M. stands for "Farm to Market Road", also sometimes called a "Farm Road" or a "Ranch Road".)
