In downtown Alamosa, Colorado, Main Street and 6th Street are parallel east-west one-way streets. At this intersection, looking north on West Avenue, US 285 will eventually head west on Main Street. Colorado route 17, which is actually concurrent with the US routes despite the use of a trailblazer banner, heads east on 6th Street. In other words, US 285 and Colorado 17, which are concurrent south of this intersection, diverge here.
On either side of West, the east-west streets carry the US 160 designation.
