The cardinal directions are in mixed case rather than the usual upper-case on this exit sign for US 301 near the southern end of Interstate 97 west of Annapolis, Maryland, photographed in June 2013. It is odd to see US 50 omitted from this sign, because, in the vicinity of Annapolis, US 50 and US 301 are concurrent, running along the same route.
