The Taconic State Parkway roughly parallels the route of US 9 in the Hudson Valley of upstate New York. Even so, there are frequent reminders of how to reach the parkway. This one, in Columbia County, takes advantage of the concurrence of US 9 and NY 23. Farther south, NY 23 splits off to the east, providing a route to the Taconic.
