This exit for US 9W in the town of Ulster, in Ulster County, New York, also is the spot where US 209 begins (or ends, depending on your point of view). The interchange, photographed in May 2010, is the northern terminus of US 209 and the western terminus of NY 199. NY 199 connects this interchange with the Kingston-Rhinecliff Bridge and with US 9 on the other side of the Hudson River. If you look closely, you can see an End 199 marker assembly in the median as the highway goes around a curve.
