The Paramount Theater on Broadway in Oakland is the centerpiece of ongoing efforts to restore the Art Deco buildings in the "uptown" area of Oakland, just north of where Telegraph Avenue and Broadway meet near City Hall. The Paramount has been fully restored. It's now used for movies, concerts, and other events. It's just a couple of blocks away from another theater, the Fox Oakland theater. In the background is the Bruener's Furniture building, also from the same era.
