After the bridge was temporarily reopened, subsequent to the time this photograph was taken in 1998, the weight limit was lowered again, to three tons.
The area looks much different in 2008, complete with an end-of-route marker for Missouri 269. In 1998, Missouri 269 may have ended here, too (as indicated on Missouri official highway maps), but the end was marked farther north, at the Missouri 210 interchange.
